Fachbereichsübergreifende Exkursion nach Brüssel im Sommersemester 2019 mit folgenden primären Inhalt:
Am 26. Mai wurde ein neues
Europaparlament gewählt. Zuletzt hatte der französische Präsident Macron
Vorschläge für eine inhaltliche Erneuerung der Europäischen Union unterbreitet
und die Bildung eines progressiven Bündnisses angekündigt.
Neben der Wahl eines Präsidenten für das neue Europaparlament steht auch die Wahl eines neuen Präsidenten der Europäischen Kommission (=Nachfolge Claude Juncker) sowie ein neuer Präsident des Europäischen Rates (=Nachfolge Donald Tusk ) an.
Brüssel ist der Sitz der Europäischen Kommission. Hier tagt auch regelmäßig das Europäische Parlament inklusive der seiner Ausschüsse, Fraktionen und Gruppen, auch wenn formal der offizielle Sitz des Europäischen Parlamentes Strassbourg ist.

Field Experiment Tutorial:
The course aims to reinforce the concepts a student learns in the subject field experiments in economics. Moreover, the subject wants to focus on developing programming skills in R studio. Finally, we want to discuss projects so you can make the decisions you made in the field.
During the seminar you will practice :
- How concepts from field experiments in economics interact in real situations
- How can one use R studio to process data from the field?
- Which are the key elements one should observe?
grading
Students have to submit a paper which is based on the three tracks they choose in Field Experiments in Economics. Further information will be announced
