This course aims at understanding the fundamentals of thin film deposition and the preparation of functional thin films with a focus on magnetic functional thin films. The first half of the course will explain thin film deposition technologies, the fundamentals of thin film growth, the second half on the characteristics and functional possibilities (like sensor concepts) of magnetic thin films
